STAFF AND INSTRUCTORS
The Faculty are esteemed scholars and researchers, and Masters in the Field
David A. Gibson
David Gibson is the founder and director of the Institute. He is a leading scholar and researcher in the field of Sound Healing and Therapy.
David is the author of the #1 selling book in the field of Audio Recording, The Art of Mixing. He is also the author of The Art of Producing. As well, David is the author of the #1 selling book in the field of Sound Healing, The Complete Guide to Sound Healing (www.CompleteGuidetoSoundHealing).
David is also a top selling producer of Sound Healing music (www.SoundHealingCenter.com/store), and runs the Sound Therapy Center at the Institute offering over 15 types of sound healing treatments (www.SoundTherapyCenter.com). David has produced 7 International Sound Healing Conference and is also the founder of the Sound Healing Research Foundation (www.SoundHealingResearchFoundation.org) designed to help bring sound healing into the mainstream (homes & hospitals).
David has a unique understanding of how sound and music create deep and lasting effects on the mind, body, and spirit. David’s education in Physics at the University of California at Berkeley gives him a unique basis for understanding and explaining the way that sound affects us physically. Having run the largest Sound Healing Institute in the nation for over 15 years (with 25 instructors), and having put on 7 International Sound Healing Conferences, David has developed a complete perspective of everything going on in the field – particularly how sound affects us physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. He has come up with a theory of how the entire human system works based on a hierarchy of vibration that is found in the entire Universe – frequencies, timbres, musical intervals, music and energy. This theory has been gaining wide acceptance in the healing and medical fields.
David is the primary instructor at the Sound Healing Institute and teaches classes on sound physiology, brainwave entrainment, releasing stuck emotions with sound, the sound of chakras, and the sound of love. He has come up with a full range of powerful techniques for opening the heart and connecting to spirit using sound and music as catalysts.
David currently has 60 CD’s on the market and is one of the top sellers of Sound Healing music in the field. He collaborated with a company called Nutri-Energetics to create his CD’s. Nutri-Energetics has done years of research on remedies based on the frequencies of morphogenetic fields in the body. These quantum healing field remedies are actually incorporated in David’s CD’s – sometimes as the chord progressions of the music and sometimes embedded in the background. His CD catalog includes songs for relaxation, sleep, depression, anxiety, enlightenment, opening the heart, connecting to Spirit, mental clarity, overcoming fear, releasing grief, harmonizing emotions and balancing chakras.
David has been exploring the use of binaural beats for brainwave entrainment for over 15 years and most of his CD’s have frequencies embedded that entrain the brain into various brainwave states
David also has created a dozen “Frequency” CD’s that are played on the body – you don’t listen to them. The CD’s are for muscles, nerves, tendons, ligaments, bones, endocrine glands, respiratory system, circulatory system, brain, arthritis, asthma, and depression. David also has 7 CD’s for surgery (Pre-op, during surgery, and Post-op) as well as guided meditations for relaxation, releasing anxiety and pain, releasing stuck emotions, and bringing unconditional love into the heart. David’s CD’s are in multiple hospitals around the country including Massachusetts General, Kaiser in the Bay Area, and San Francisco U.C. Medical Center.
The Sound Healing Therapy Center (www.SoundTherapyCenter.com) at the Institute offers over 15 treatments. David has designed most of the treatments including one that finds your home note and natural rhythm where you are at rest. Detailed research has shown and this is where your whole system flourishes. David also now owns the Voice Analysis Harmony software that can find what frequencies are missing in your system and provide a sound remedy. It is also based on 20 years of research.
In order to bring sound healing into the mainstream David has setup the Sound Healing Research Foundation. The most important project is mapping the Frequency Body (www.GeneOM.org). We are looking to find the resonant frequencies of health for every single part of the body in order to create a new powerful healing modality with zero side effects.
The Research Foundation is also involved in a wide range of other research projects including Sound and Music for ADD/ADHD, PTSD (anxiety, anger, grief), autism, pain management, sleep, schizophrenia, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, addiction, brain injuries, Parkinson’s, and dementia. The foundation is currently working with hospitals, autism centers, addiction centers and elderly centers around the country. Kaiser Hospital is referring their patients to us and we are doing training for their doctors monthly.
Two years ago the Research Foundation received a $100,000 grant to take Globe Institute’s curriculum into two local Montessori schools. With our 12 instructors we have now created over 2000 exercises for every age group (3 months to 18 years). The program is not just about Sound and Music, it includes multiple tracks that range from Physics of Vibration to Geometry to Self Expression. 500 of the 2000 exercises are complete. Every exercise includes references from latest books on Childhood Education and Brain Development — that backup the purpose of each exercise.
David has also created a full range of media projects in order to help educate the public about the profound benefits of sound, music and vibration. He has created a Cirque style play and 4 movie treatments – all of which incorporate Sound and Sacred Geometry.

Introduced to geomantic wisdom in childhood, he continued his studies in Feng Shui with the late Grandmaster Lin Yun, Rinpoche, the lineage holder of Tibetan Tantric Buddhist feng shui largely responsible for bringing feng shui into the mainstream in the western world; in sacred architecture with Dr. Keith Critchlow, Professor Emeritus of the Prince of Wales Institute of Architecture, who is regarded as one of the greatest living masters of sacred architecture, sacred geometry, Islamic sacred art and the Platonic-Pythagorean Mystery School teachings; and in Earth Mysteries with the world’s leading experts, especially the researchers of the pre-eminent Dragon Project in the U.K.

Vickie Dodd, Director of Sacred SoundWorks, is an internationally known pioneer in the field of Sound as a Bodywork. She is an Aston-Patterning Teacher, author, poet, nutritionist, herbalist, workshop leader and musician. She started using sound as a healing modality in her work with her clients over 40 years ago. She has trained with many master teachers in the art of body therapies and spiritual purification tools.
The essence of Vickie’s work is a multi-dimensional approach to using Sound as an evolutionary tool, emphasizing maturation of the emotional body. A few of her teachers that have been crucial to her evolving this work are: Dr. Joseph Liss, Dr. Ramurtri Mishra, William David,(Elias De Mohan) and Judith Aston.
Vickie has the rare ability to “sense” the subtle rhythm, vibrations, and tones that all matter produces. She uses her remarkable gift of “sounding” to match the unique soundprint of a person. To this sensitivity Ms. Dodd has added serious study and exploration into the curative aspects of sound, color and movement. She has designed a system, which integrates emotional memories within the physical body and facilitates the release of long held emotional distress. She has consulted with organizations and professional groups, assisting them to address specific issues they encounter in their work and life responsibilities.
Vickie teaches others how to listen to themselves and to use their voices to recapitulate the memories and history that resides in their bodies. These teachings empower and educate the serious sound student to direct and evolve their emotional and physical maturation. She is the author of “Tuning The Blues To Gold: Soundprints” and has several recordings available. As director of Soundbody Productions she lives in Port Angeles, Washington, and teaches in Europe and many locations around the USA.
